Models In The Works
Current projects:
I don't work on one horse at a time: I usually pick several that are in the same phase; either cutting, sculpting or finishing. I only work on models when I'm in the creative mood. I can't push my creativity. I've learned over the years that if I push myself to work I'll do a crappy job. I will add photos as models are worked on so people can see what I'm doing. People might say, "Well, that couldn't have taken a year [or more] to do!"... Well, people need to remember- I do NOT do this as a job like some people do. I DO NOT work on models when I am not in the mood to create- if I did that, I'd make sub-par pieces. I REFUSE to do that to a customer... isn't the saying: "Good work is worth the wait"? Even if I just got the customer's models and worked on them 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, it isn't just slapping on paint or pastel and calling it good, there actually IS a technique that I use to get the colors just as they look, it all takes TIME. If *I* am not satisfied with the way my models look, and because close up photos catch much more than the naked eye can see at times, I have to go back over them and fix what I find. If I'm not satisfied, how could my customer be?
